FIFA 19 Events Calendar/Schedule - When Will Every Event & Promotion Arrive In Ultimate Team?

When and which event will be in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team? In our FIFA 19 Event Calendar, we list all FUT events and present when promotions such as the FIFA 19 Swap Deals, TOTY, TOTS, FUTmas or FUT Birthday.

Without events FUT could not be imagined these years. Especially for FIFA 19 trading in transfer market, it is important to know when and which promotions come in Ultimate Team, which will help you earn more FUT 19 Coins and profit.

That's why here's an overview of all the FIFA 19 Ultimate Team event dates. The exact event release dates in FUT 19 are not guaranteed, but the approximate time frame is considered extremely likely.

Right after the official release of FIFA 19 on September 28, the first event takes place: The Ones to Watch cards for summer transfers are the first promo in Ultimate Team.

In addition, towards the end of each month come the Players of the Month of the Premier League.

In addition to the start of the Weekend League, the start of Ultimate Team is rather quiet. And the first Swap Deals drops into FUT. And the event for Halloween takes place in October.

October 6, 2018 - FUT Swap Deals: This year, Swap Deals come back earlier than expected throughout the season to provide more opportunities to upgrade your FUT squad.

What are the swap deals? You can get everything on our FIFA 19 FUT Swap Deals Guide.

October 19, 2018 - The screaming team is released: The Halloween celebrations are expected to begin this year on Friday, October 19, and end on Tuesday, November 1.

What is the FIFA 19 Ultimate Scream Event? For Halloween, a team of 23 players will be released, which come in a creepy card design. These special cards can also be obtained through packs, but only for a limited time.

While the cards make it appear as if they have only minimal boosts, this is deceptive. For every full moon is "Scream-Time" and the 23 players receive massive rating increases. More information will be updated at FIFAAH. COM!

Also the November is concerning Promos rather poorly equipped, only the two "shopping high days" Black Friday and Cyber Monday have found their way into FUT.

November 23, 2018 - Black Friday: The day after Thanksgiving is especially profitable for EA, because the FUT shop is flooded with pack offers just like that. In addition to the Flash rounds, there are also special SBCs and Weekly Objectives. That's how the whole thing went last year.

November 26, 2018 - Cyber Monday: If you miss Black Friday, Cyber Monday will once again give you the chance to buy promo packs or special SBCs in the Flash Rounds.

Slowly the possible time starts in Ultimate Team. In December next to FUTmas we can expect the Team of the Group Stage.

December 14, 2018 - Team of Tournaments: The Team of the Group Stage is expected to appear in mid-December. The event was supposed to last a week but might look different this year as EA secured the official rights of the Champions League.

What is the TOTGS? In the Team of the Tournament - Group Stage EA rewards the best 23 players of European tournaments (CL and EL) with special cards. These can be put into packs for a week, normally there should be special SBCs as well.

The cards have been in great demand these last few years as they are the first heavily upgraded special cards in the FUT season.

December 14, 2018 - FUTmas: The annual Christmas event can not be missed in FIFA 19. The promo phase launches in mid-December, lasts just under three weeks and should be over by the beginning of January.

What is FUTmas? During the Christmas season FUT has many special Christmas cards to win. You can get it for example via SBCs or weekly tasks. Other promotions such as promo packs and small gifts should come again.

In January, there are not many promotions, but the most important event in the whole year: Team Of The Year!

January 7, 2019 - TOTY: The team of the year is scheduled to start on January 7 with the nominee announcement. One week later, the winners will be announced successively and can be pulled out of sets. The event is expected to end on the 21st of January, after the whole TOTY was packed again.

What is the Team of the Year? The TOTY cards are usually the best in the game, even the Team Of The Season cards are not there. It is an 11-cumminuty selection that receives dark blue special cards and was chosen in FIFA 18 by EA and representatives themselves.

In February things get down to business, we expect three Ultimate Team events.

February 1, 2019 - OTW Winter: Analogous to the OTW summer cards come in early February, the FIFA 19 Ones To Watch players of winter transfers. Also this event lasts one week, during this time you can find the special cards in FUT packs.

What are the Winter Ones to Watch? It is just like the summer cards to dynamic items.

February 8, 2019 - Lunar Event: The Chinese New Year has become a tradition in FIFA. For FUT 19, Lunar New Year event is expected from the 8th to the 11th of February.

What happens in FUT 19 at the Chinese New Year? In addition to gifts that will improve according to your filing dates in FIFA 19, there will again be SBCs, promo packs and weekly objectives. At least that's what the FIFA 18 event looked like.

February 22, 2019 - Ratings Refresh: End of February will be a relatively long event phase. It probably lasts until 4 March, until all leagues are through with the ratings refresh.

What is the rating refresh? After the winter break there is an upgrade or downgrade of many cards. Players who perform better than their cards suggest will receive a new higher-rated gold card. The other way around was - down to last year - downgrades.

After the eventful February, a big event awaits us in March: the birthday of Ultimate Team.

March 15, 2019 - St Patricks Day: The Irish holiday in FUT could start in mid-March and last for several days to a week.

What happens in FUT on St. Patrick's Day? To celebrate the Irish, Ultimate Team turns completely green: There is about one Irish special team or SBCs. Last year, however, St. Patrick's Day was canceled. Therefore, it is questionable if we will see him again in FIFA 19.

March 19, 2019 - FUT is celebrating its birthday! The event will not start on the 19th, but probably a few days earlier. It should move for about 10 days and be completed before April.

What happens in FUT Birthday Event? The birthday of Ultimate Team is a huge event. There's a bunch of new Birthday special cards that mostly rejuvenate fan favorites from older FIFA parts. Also, SBCs, weekly objectives and pack deals are likely to come.

If April was another eventless month, EA surprised us in FIFA 18 with a new promo: the swap deals, maybe it will come back again, or let’s expect a new surprise.

April 6, 2019 - FUT Swap Deals: Start of the barter deals is expected in early to mid-April, and the event could last for almost a month, like until the beginning of May.

We are already approaching the final spurt of the FUT season in May. With the Team of the Season, the game usually gets a boost again, before the eyes then already go towards FIFA 20.

May 10, 2019 - Team of the Season: On May 10th it will probably start with the community TOTS. Then a new TDS appears regularly. Overall, the event should go for 1.5 months and end on 21 June.

What is the Team of the Season? The TOTS is after TOTY the second very big event with extremely strong special cards. This time, the best players of the season will be honored. In addition, many leagues receive their own 23-member TOTS selection. Check it out to see how the "Team of the Season" in FUT 18 came to an end.

May 10, 2019 - Team of the Knockout Stage: In the late Champions League matches, except for FIFA 18, there was always the TOTKS. This will probably be in the middle of May and will last for more than a week.

What are the Team of the Knockout Stage? Similar to the TOTGS, the TOTKS is a 23 selection of the best players in the knockout stages of the European and Champions League. Until last year, the TOTT knockout stage always came in mid-May. What happens this year, especially in view of the new licenses, is still open.

In July, the interest in FUT drops significantly. To bring the players back, EA called the Futties event into being. It's the last big event in Ultimate Team before the Weekend League ends at the end of August.

July 5, 2019 - The Futties: From early to mid of July the event should start with the pink special cards. It is likely to pull back over almost a month and thus be finished in early August.

What are the Futties? At this FUT festival new special cards come from players who did not receive a special card during the whole season, but were extremely popular with the players. You can remember Chris Smalling or Jack Butland from FIFA 17. In FIFA 18, for example, a Bakayoko was part of the party.

Of course, most of the above events are already officially confirmed. We just make this FIFA 19 Events Calendar according to the information from previous years for your references. Stay tuned for more FIFA 19 News.

ORIGINAL: FIFA 19 FUT Birthday is coming soon, with EA Sports about to celebrate 10 years of Ultimate Team.

The official EA Sports FIFA Twitter account on Wednesday revealed that this week the FIFA 19 FUT Birthday promo would start.

They posted: “FUT Birthday starts on Friday! More details tomorrow. #10YearsOfFUT”.

And on Thursday EA went into more detail about what fans can expect from the upcoming FUT Birthday event.

On Friday March 22 a FUT Birthday Squad will be released with 30 Ultimate Team players getting a stat boost.

Of these 21 FUT Birthday players will be released in packs while the rest will be available through SBCs and Objectives.

EA said: ”10 years of FUT has produced more than a few memorable players whose in-game performance earned them special status in the community.

“Seven of these “FUT Favourites” will be released throughout the event as both SBCs and Objectives, with a Flashback, Premium SBC or FUT Birthday item type.”

They added: “A total of 21 players will be available through SBCs during FUT Birthday, including 10 Prime ICON Moments, 6 FUT Birthday players and 5 Anniversary players.

“Themed Objectives will award a further 6 players, including 4 Birthday and 2 Anniversary players. You will also get daily Puzzle SBCs plus a selection of Upgrade SBCs throughout the event.“

Below is an outline of the FIFA 19 competitive eSports ecosystem, known as the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series, from the release of the game on PS4 and Xbox One all the way through to the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final. This page will be updated regularly as firm dates and locations are confirmed and we will also be listing the winners of each event as they take place.

FIFA 19 players will need to have followed the below steps (taken from fifa. com) in order to take part in the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series:

Register on FUTChampions. com by Oct 31, 2018. Play in Weekend League and achieve at least 27 Wins to become FUT Champions Verified. FUT Champions Verified competitors may be invited to and play in Online qualification competitions, competing head-to-head against other top eligible players to earn a spot at a live event. Earn EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points through live events and the Weekend League to get placed on the leaderboard. Qualify for the Playoffs by finishing in the Top 60 on the points leaderboard at the end of the year.

EA have altered the qualification process this year so that year-long consistency is now rewarded, as opposed to an exceptional one-off performance. An example of this is the exclusion of the Last Chance Qualifier - which accounted for a sizable number of participants in last year's Global Series Playoffs - from the FIFA 19 eSports calendar. Instead, strong performances in offline tournaments throughout the year could earn players enough Global Series Points to make the playoffs. Click here to see the latest Global Series Points rankings.

Additionally, the Weekend League will no longer earn competitors direct qualification into offline events, but will offer Global Series Points which could be crucial come the playoffs.

The FIFA 19 eSports scene is set up so that everything ultimately feeds into FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final qualification. Last year, over 20 million players competed throughout the year before Mosaad ‘Msdossary’ Aldossary was crowned FIFA 18 world champion at the O2 Arena in London, taking home a cool $250,000 in the process. After the success of the FIFA 18 cycle, there has been a considerable expansion in the ecosystem this time around. Here are the various qualification routes to the Grand Final, including a breakdown of the Global Series Points available in each:

There will be a total of six offline FUT Champions Cups this year (compared to two during the FIFA 18 cycle), with one taking place each month from November until April. Players must first qualify online to participate, and each event will feature a minimum of 32 players per platform.

The Global Series Points on offer at each FUT Champions Cup are as follows:

3rd-4th: 625

5th-8th: 450

9th-16th: 275

17th-32nd: 150

The FIFA eClub World Cup - which sees eSports teams competing against each other - returns this year and has now been classified as a 'Major', which is also the case for the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup. Details on this new addition to the calendar will be released in due course.

The Global Series Points on offer at these two tournaments are as follows:

3rd-4th: 625

5th-8th: 450

9th-16th: 275

17th-32nd: 150

Seven Licensed Qualifying events will take place throughout the year. These will be on a smaller scale and will vary in size between 16 and 32 players per platform, but will offer the opportunity for eligible players around the world to compete via online qualifiers. Further details on these events will be released in due course.

The Global Series Points on offer at Licensed Qualifying Events are as follows:

3rd-4th: 315

5th-8th: 150

9th-16th: 110

17th-32nd: 80

Once again, there will be FIFA eSports versions of football leagues around the world taking place, with Global Series Points on offer in each. The leagues that have so far been officially announced as forming part of the Global Series ecosystem are as follows: Virtuelle Bundesliga, eDivisie, eSuperliga, eLiga, Virtual La Liga esports, eLigue 1, eMLS, ePremier League, E-League, eAllsvenskan, Ekstraklasa and the eJ. League.

The Global Series Points on offer at each Official League Partner are as follows:

3rd-4th: 315

5th-8th: 150

9th-16th: 110

17th-32nd: 80

There is also the potential for future leagues to get involved, and if that is to be the case, the following Global Series Points will be on offer:

9th-16th: 20

Sony will be hosting a succession of PS4-only tournaments at various locations around the world, which may have country or region restrictions attached to them.

The Global Series Points on offer at PlayStation Country Tournaments are as follows:

9th-16th: 20

Although these no longer offer direct qualification to offline tournaments, eligible players can earn Global Series Points by competing in every FUT Champions Weekend League between November and April.

The Global Series Points on offer - in addition to the number of wins required - in FUT Champions Weekend Leagues are as follows:

The FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs will be the final opportunity for eligible players to collect Global Series Points for qualification to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019. The participants will consist of the top 64 players on each console (the top 60 from each Global Series Points leaderboard, and the top four players from each FIFA Online leaderboard).

The Global Series Points on offer at the Global Series Playoffs are as follows:

3rd-4th: 720

5th-8th: 540

9th-16th: 350

17th-32nd: 275

Most FIFA 19 tournaments do not yet have exact dates and locations but we will update the section below as soon as details are released. To find out when the online qualification dates are for each tournament, click here.

ELEAGUE Forms Partnership with Electronic Arts

To Host Multiple FIFA 19 Competitions

64-Player EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Major Championship to be Held February 22-24

At ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta

ELEAGUE, the premium esports content and live tournament brand from Turner & IMG, has reached a partnership with Electronic Arts (EA) to create multiple competitive EA SPORTS FIFA 19 events in 2019. Per the agreement, ELEAGUE becomes the first North American tournament partner to host a EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series FUT Champions Cup with the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February on the Road to the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup.

The partnership will kick off with the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February, one of six Major events throughout the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series. The event will be a worldwide open competition in which 64 of the game’s best players will vie for valuable EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points and compete for a $100,000 purse. The ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February will take place Friday-Sunday, Feb. 22-24, from ELEAGUE Arena at Turner Studios in Atlanta. The event will feature many of the top competitors from North and South America, alongside popular superstars of competitive FIFA from around the world.

“EA SPORTS FIFA is one of the most popular, critically-acclaimed video games on a global scale and we’re thrilled to align with them in this exciting partnership,” said Craig Barry, EVP & Chief Content Officer, Turner Sports. “This will provide some unique crossover opportunities for ELEAGUE to leverage Turner’s B/R Football brand and UEFA property, as we continue to expand and further diversify its strategic partnerships to present premium esports content experiences and drive engagement across all platforms.”

“ELEAGUE is a fantastic viewership platform for competitive FIFA and accelerates the mainstream esports and sports connection thanks to the power of Turner Sports,” said Todd Sitrin, SVP and GM of the EA Competitive Gaming Division. “We’re seeing rapid growth for EA SPORTS FIFA competitive gaming right now around the world, and the opportunity to host a major event in North America will be an accelerant to this growth. This partnership with ELEAGUE is perfect given EA SPORTS FIFA’s global reach, its instant accessibility for spectators, and the millions of FIFA competitive gaming players that are participating in the Global Series.”

Live event coverage will be distributed across ELEAGUE’s Twitch channel and B/R Live – Turner’s live sports streaming service – with several integrations planned from B/R Football’s UEFA Champions League coverage. Additionally, ELEAGUE will capture the tournament’s best moments for a series to air on TBS following the event.

In addition to the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February, ELEAGUE will operate a Licensed Qualifying Event within the 2019 Global Series, Friday-Sunday, May 3-5 – which will also offer EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points and prize money. Additional details surrounding the LQE will be announced in the coming months.

About ELEAGUE

ELEAGUE – formed in partnership between Turner and IMG – is a premium esports content and live tournament brand that has aligned with some of the most popular titles in the business through its first two years: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – including the hosting of two CS:GO Major Championships – Overwatch®, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Street Fighter® V: Arcade Edition, Dota 2, FIFA 19, Injustice 2, Rocket League, TEKKEN® 7 and Formula E. With a focus on innovative production capabilities, storytelling and exploring compelling narratives surrounding star teams and players, ELEAGUE has generated record levels of engagement with its content and positive reaction throughout the esports community since its launch in 2016.

ELEAGUE will partner with EA to host multiple FIFA 19 tournaments this year.

These events will be a part of the EA Sports FIFA 19 Global Series FUT Champions Cup, and will award $100K USD and qualifier points for the eWorld Cup Grand Final.

Coverage for the event will air live on Twitch and B/R Live, with post-match coverage featuring the “best moments” to air on TBS.

Esports media brand ELEAGUE and game publisher Electronic Arts are partnering to host several FIFA 19 tournaments in 2019. At least two of these events will be a part of the EA Sports FIFA 19 Global Series FUT Champions Cup, the first of which will take place in February with the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February.

FIFA is one of the most popular, critically-acclaimed video games on a global scale and we’re thrilled to align with them in this exciting partnership,” said Craig Barry, Turner Sports’ EVP and Chief Content Officer. “This will provide some unique crossover opportunities for ELEAGUE to leverage Turner’s B/R Football brand and UEFA property, as we continue to expand and further diversify its strategic partnerships to present premium esports content experiences and drive engagement across all platforms.”

ELEAGUE, created by media conglomerate Turner and talent management and events company IMG in 2016, is known for creating content across a wide range of gaming titles. This partnership will be the first dive of ELEAGUE into FIFA , along with the first time EA has selected a North American tournament partner for the Global Series. ELEAGUE will also host a second Global Series event in May.

“As we’ve been continuing to build our ecosystem, we’ve been looking for partners that can help accelerate that in different countries around the world,” EA’s SVP and general manager, Competitive Gaming Division Todd Sitrin told The Esports Observer. “ELEAGUE actually started around the same time that the Competitive Gaming division was started at EA, and so I have personally been meeting with the folks at ELEAGUE, really, for years – but we just hadn’t found the right partnership and the right time.”

As a part of the Global Series, the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February will offer a $100K prize pool and a handful of Global Series Points, which pro players need to qualify for the eWorld Cup Grand Final event. The event itself will be held the last weekend of February from Turner Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Live coverage will air on Twitch and Turner’s B/R Live streaming platform, with post-event content featuring the “best moments” to air on cable channel TBS.

The Global Series is a wide-ranging circuit held in various regions to attract the broad FIFA fanbase. Last week, EA revealed a stop in Singapore in partnership with PGL and regional television network eGG. Other partners include the English Premier League and Deutsch Telekom.

As the calendar flips over to December, it’s time to put away the stuffing and turkey, and it’s time to start decorating and singing your favorite Holiday songs.

FIFA Mobile is celebrating the holidays this year with a new spin on a classic tale: Football Freeze. To begin with, every day that you log in during the month of December, you’ll receive rewards via the Holiday Calendar.

You’ll also be able to play through multiple event chapters, each with a different theme and set of spectacular rewards. To start, you’ll make your way through the Thermometer Chapter, which rewards you your choice of Cold or Hot points that you can then use in the Snowflake Chapters.

Within the Snowflake Chapters, you will be able to earn different items for the rest of the Event, such as Holiday Cheer, Frozen Gifts, and more.

The Holiday Cheer Chapter will feature a beautiful tree with lights and garland hung across. As you play through the Snowflake Chapters and earn more Cheer, different Rewards will “light” up for you to claim. Progress through all of the Snowflake Events to light up the entire tree and unlock Frozen Star Master Alexis Sanchez!

Of course, throughout the event, you’ll have an opportunity to open Frozen Gifts, each with a variety of rewards, including the potential for an additional Frozen Star Master Player Item and much more.

Finally, no matter where in the world you live, you can build a Snowman in FIFA Mobile! Using snowballs or specific Snowmen items such as Hats, Scarves, and Buttons, completing a Snowman grants rewards, and by building specific Snowmen, you’ll be able to earn the ultimate prizes, the Snowman of the Match Masters!

How to compete

Eligible players interested in EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series* should take the following steps:

Register on FUTChampions. com by Oct 31, 2018. Play in Weekend League and achieve at least 27 Wins to become FUT Champions Verified. FUT Champions Verified competitors may be invited to and play in Online qualification competitions, competing head-to-head against other top eligible players to earn a spot at a live event. Earn EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points through live events and the Weekend League to get placed on the leaderboard. Qualify for the Playoffs by finishing in the Top 60 on the Points leaderboard at the end of the year. Following the Playoffs, which will award Points (not direct seat qualifications), the top 16 players on each PlayStation and Xbox's leaderboard, will qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final.

Find the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings here.

Registration begins on October 5, 2018 and ends on October 31, 2018 — all eligible players interested in becoming a competitor in the upcoming year must register during this period. Please note that players who do not complete their registration by October 31, 2018 will be ineligible to compete in any FUT Champions Cups or Licensed Qualifying Events during FIFA 19 Global Series. The process of qualification starts with FUT Champions. Players no longer qualify directly to live events via the Weekend League, but the journey to the top still begins there.

Become FUT Champions verified

Eligible players prove that they are good enough to compete in FIFA 19 competitive gaming by racking up wins in the FUT Champions Weekend League. Registered players can become FUT Champions Verified by winning 27 games in a single Weekend League. Once a player achieves Verified status, they don’t have to worry about winning a specific amount of games in the Weekend League again for the rest of the season.

Head-to-head qualifying competitions

Once a competitor is FUT Champions Verified, they may be invited to subsequent Online Qualification Tournaments for FUT Champions Cups and Licensed Qualifying Events throughout the season. Every Live Event will have a cutoff date by which you must be FUT Champions Verified in order to compete. Each live event will have multiple Online Qualification Tournaments for different regions, creating regular global qualification opportunities. These tournaments will utilize a combination of Swiss and Single Elimination formats to determine live event qualification. This means that only organized head-to-head tournaments among the top FUT Champions players in the world will determine qualification for live events, rather than skill points on a leaderboard. To be the best, you will have to beat the best. Online Qualification Tournaments will often take place during a single weekend, with schedules and the allocation of seats per region for each live event published in advance. Live events will have between 16 and 32 players per PlayStation and Xbox, and there will be more than 10 total events from which players can qualify through Online Qualification Tournaments. More details on live events will be shared soon.

Earn Points

In order to qualify for the FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs, FUT Champions Verified Players will be able to earn EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points by competing in live events or playing in the Weekend League. Live events will provide the most Points, while a smaller (but not insignificant) number can be earned by achieving 20 to 27+ wins in Weekend Leagues from November through April. We know that FUT Champions is an exciting and important part of the competitive ecosystem and we want to reward players for continuing to compete, even if it's not mandatory. Don't forget that players must be both registered and FUT Champions Verified to be eligible to earn EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points.

Climb the leaderboard

Throughout the year, players will be ranked (per PlayStation and Xbox) based on the number of Points they've earned in comparison with the competition. Near the end of the season, the top eligible 60 players on each PlayStation and Xbox leaderboard will be invited to the FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs. Following the Playoffs, which will award Points (not direct seat qualifications), the top 16 players on each PlayStation and Xbox's leaderboard, will qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup, where the FIFA 19 World Champion will be crowned. The Playoffs will be the last chance to earn Points in the competitive year.

More details including events, dates, and qualification timelines will be revealed on October 5th.
